With over 20 years of experience in handling real estate and financial transactions within the capital markets, Helena has a strong background in structuring public offerings of various securities, such as Real Estate Receivables Certificates (CRI), Debentures, Commercial Notes, Collective Investment Agreements for Condo-Hotel Units (CIC), Agribusiness Receivables Certificates (CRA), Real Estate Investment Funds (FII), Private Equity Investment Funds (FIP), Investment Funds in Agroindustrial Production Chains (FIAGRO), and investment funds in general (including open-ended funds).
Helena earned her law degree in 2006 and, between 2007 and 2009, worked as an analyst at investment banks, focusing on fixed income and project finance. In August 2009, she began her legal career as an attorney specializing in real estate finance, primarily working on the structuring of CRI and FII transactions. In May 2018, she joined Duarte Garcia as a partner to establish the firm’s capital markets practice, which has since achieved significant success. Helena is also an active member of ELAS (an institutional group composed of all female attorneys, interns, and assistants at the firm), and is one of the women leading both the Parenting Commission and the Leadership Commission.
